Dappled Horse Grooming & Massage is a freelance equine massage & horse grooming service in the Central PA area. Tess has been helping horsemen take care of their best friend and athlete, their horse for over 40 years!

Currently Tess is  freelance grooming & volunteering with New Vocations and Pennsylvania WarHorse.

Extensive experience with hard to handle horses. Strong Stallions, Flighty Fillies & Nervous Nellie’s not a problem. I love them all! I specialize in bodywork, legs & feet along with rubbing on(grooming) the horses. Experienced with Riding Horses, Racehorses and Competitive Driving Horses.​

Certified in Equine Sports Massage through Equine Kneads of Oxford, NJ.

​Previous:

Starting in grade school participating in 4-H, riding horses and barrel racing until finishing high school.

Then working on thoroughbred racetracks for 25+ years as groom, foreman, assistant trainer and Trainer/Owner (Varied owners including Jay McMahon of Saratoga). I have no problem with hard work! Retired from training thoroughbreds  around 1998, pursuing other interests not as demanding in order to have enough quality time to raise my family. All our ex racehorses were retired with the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation.

Also, worked on Thoroughbred Breeding Farm Berkshire Stud during this time.

2015 - 2018 Tess worked with Team Turbo Arabo-Friesian Four in Hand Team of  Dragstra Stables in North Carolina.​
While the Arabo-Friesians of Team Turbo have retired in 2019 Tess joined the team at Kingdom Nutrition Company, promoting equine supplements through social media and barn visits, focusing on Penn National Race Course.
